Masterworks Society
Ballet Chicago established the Masterworks Society to honor our most dedicated annual supporters. This premier giving group is named in tribute to our training method, deeply rooted in the Balanchine tradition and carefully upheld by Artistic Directors Daniel Duell and Patricia Blair.
As one of Chicago’s leading cultural institutions, Ballet Chicago continues to thrive artistically and educationally. Our unique access to the works of George Balanchine positions us with exceptional distinction on the American dance landscape.

The Masterworks Society provides essential annual funding that supports scholarships and opportunities for
the young people in Ballet Chicago’s training programs. Members can direct their contributions to one of
four vital funds:
-
Philip and Marsha Dowd Merit Scholarship Program: Supports gifted students with programming and tuition assistance.
-
Dance for Tomorrow: Offers children in foster care, adoption, and low-income environments access to structured, supportive training.
-
Male Scholarship Fund: Provides ballet training scholarships for young men and boys interested in dance.
-
