Graca Sales began her ballet career in her hometown of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, starting out at her local dance company Palacio das Artes at the age of 13. At 22 years old she moved to Germany and worked with Ulmer Dance Theater as a Prima Ballerina. After 8 years, she went back to Brazil, working as a ballet teacher with companies such as Sao Paulo Dance Company and Grupo Corpo. Eventually she moved to the U.S and became a ballet master at the Joffrey Ballet, working alongside choreographers such as Yuri Possakhov, Christopher Wheeldon, and others. Graca Sales has dedicated herself to teaching and coaching young dancers of all levels.
