Attendance
Regular attendance is critical to the development of each student. Absences from class retard progress and hinder achievement. Students who are unable to take class due to injury are expected to observe. Students must report any absence to the school prior to the class in order to be excused. Repeated absences can result in dismissal from the program. Refunds are not given for missed classes. Students more than 10 minutes late to any class may be asked to sit and observe.
Makeup Class
Missed classes may be made up at an equal level or one below at any time during the semester in which the class is missed. SBC strongly encourages students to make up classes that they miss.
School Closings
In the event of inclement weather, please call the School at (312) 251-8833; any class cancellations will be posted on the School Director's voice mail. You may also listen to WGN (AM 670) or WBBM, NEWSRADIO 78 for up-to-date cancellation information.
Injuries
Students must promptly report any injury received (in or out of class) to the school office.
