More than a discipline, ballet is a unified system of movement, developed over centuries. Learn this beautiful visual language of expression, including basic structure and forms of ballet, in a nurturing environment. Self-awareness, confidence and individuality are as important as activity and technique.

  • ages 15 and up
  • Be sure to go through the entire registration process. You will receive both a payment receipt as well as a registration confirmation email upon completion.
  • Limited Spots Available - Spots available on a first come - first served basis

Spring Semester: January 30th, 2012 - June 2nd, 2012

  Beginner Ballet: Ages 15 and up  
  Mondays 6:30 - 8:00pm
Wednesday 5:30 - 7:00pm
Beginner Ballet introduces the new student to the terminology of classical ballet, including the five basic positions of the legs and feet. Additional emphasis will be placed on alignment and injury prevention during the barre routine. This is the perfect class for anyone wishing to increase their range of flexibility! Combinations are traveling patterns are explored in floor exercises customized for the ability level of each class.

  Intermediate Ballet: Ages 15 and up  
  Tuesdays 5:30 - 7:00pm
Thursdays 5:30 - 7:00pm

Intermediate Ballet continues with ballet technique for dancers with a medium to advanced understanding of the ballet vocabulary. Barre routine remains standard, but floor combinations increase in complexity and particular attention is given to phrasing. Floor exercises are customized for the ability level of each class at the teacher's discretion.
