Ballet Chicago's Mission
  About Us > Mission

Ballet Chicago’s mission is to advance American classicism in ballet by presenting inspirational and unique ballet performances to a wide audience and by providing classical ballet training to students of all ages.

Vision
Ballet Chicago seeks to fulfill the performance part of our mission by presenting and developing American classical ballet repertoire that expands the technical, artistic, and creative skills of Ballet Chicago’s dancers and choreographers. We are committed to showcasing the purity of ballet by attracting new audiences through education, inclusion, and outreach, and providing a unique and inspirational artistic experience for the City of Chicago.

Our vision for the School of Ballet Chicago is to inspire students of all ages to reach their very best potential through the study and discipline of classical ballet, to provide the skills necessary to pursue a career in classical ballet, and in the process, to develop character in a way that is uplifting to themselves and others. We seek to be one of America’s preeminent classical ballet training institutions, providing exacting training standards to perpetuate the art form’s excellence through training in the tradition of George Balanchine. We strive to make ballet training accessible to talented students through scholarship programs.
