Understanding the need for the development of our future artists, The Philip and Marsha Dowd Merit Scholarship Fund was established through a generous gift from Mr. and Mrs. Dowd. The Program offers tuition assistance to talented students who choose to make the School of Ballet Chicago their training home. The program also assists in the funding of teacher and guest teacher commitments thus affording Ballet Chicago the opportunity to offer exceptional dance instruction to all its students.

This extraordinary commitment from Mr. and Mrs. Dowd has enabled the School of Ballet Chicago to develop into an exceptional training institution for classical ballet. For the 2010-2011 season, Mr. and Mrs. Dowd have issued a $45,000 challenge and will match your donation dollar for dollar until their challenge has been reached. By donating to The Philip and Marsha Dowd Merit Scholarship Fund, your contribution will double in value and will support the superior training of the School of Ballet Chicago.
