Known for its great architecture, its vast array of museums, and its diverse and eclectic artistic community, Chicago is truly one of the great American cities. Chicago is home to many great summer music events including the Ravinia Music Festival, Grant Park Music Festival, and ongoing concerts throughout the summer months at Millennium Park and the Chicago Cultural Center. Chicago has many highly-rated restaurants and its famous Magnificent Mile offers shopping second to no other city in the world. Topping it all are the city's beautiful lakefront beaches and flower-filled parks. Almost all of these attractions are either walking distance or a short bus ride from the Ballet Chicago studios and University Center.
